What is one thing you would do to encourage more young adults to live in Greater Sudbury?

Sudbury isn't on many young adults radar so I think the most important thing to do is work with organizations like Sudbury Tourism ,Our Crater ,We Live Up Here create a campaign targeted at young adults.Showcasing what is fun and exciting about our city and getting away form the image of the old mining town.

How would you address homelessness and addictions in Greater Sudbury?

I am aware that this is a very big problem and more and more people are becoming addicted and homeless.
We need to change the stigma associated with homelessness and addiction to understand mental illness is a large part of this .
we need to educate the public on these issues .
if they had more empathy towards them we would see more local support and involvement to help address this problem

If you could start over with roads in Greater Sudbury, how would you develop the transportation network to improve quality of life?

If it was feasible, I would suggest reroute the train tracks to a location that isn't
so central to help most Sudburians daily commute that much quicker

If you were to create your own public art policy for Greater Sudbury, what are three things you would include?

It would be important to have a proper selection process for the committee, criteria for art installations and events as well as grants to be given out in line with the public art policy
More temporary local artists exhibits in our parks, outdoor venues and local businesses. City hall would be a great place for local artists to exhibit their work.
Up Here Festival has brightened up our downtown with the murals and I would welcome more, this may encourage others to get involved in the arts.

There’s been no major private sector investment in the downtown core for years. Why do you think that is and how would you change it?

In the early years our municipal government did not have the foresight to retain our heritage buildings or try to keep our downtown viable to offer opportunities for investment.
We would need greater support from city hall to work at encouraging investment in our downtown.

If given the chance, would you renegotiate the ward system in Greater Sudbury? Elaborate why.

No I feel the way the wards are divided works well for our city

Greater Sudbury’s environment is a work in progress. What would you do to keep our water clean, our trees healthy, and air fresh?

Air quality in our city should be a priority so something I would do is reevaluate our transit system and find out how we can make it more efficient, getting cars off the road and trying to manage CO2 emissions. Partnering with rethink Green for their Commuter Challenge to try to reach more people and making it a more regular challenge would be another great way to help out.

What would you do to foster a healthy business sector throughout Greater Sudbury?

We would have to encourage the people of Sudbury to shop local and keep our money in Sudbury
This would include the city using local businesses and not using out of town suppliers
